Now functionalities have been introduced on VARStreet responsive stores, modifications to the CRM software and general bug fixes resolved in this technical release.
VARStreet Inc., a cloud-based platform developed for IT and office supplies VARs in the United States and Canada, released its updates for the third quarter of 2020.
VARStreet platform, serving VARs since 1999, has a host of sophisticated modules like InstaQuote, a full-featured quoting tool and VARStore, a B2B eCommerce software. The business management application is integrated with an aggregated catalog consisting of over 7 million SKUs from 45+ IT and office supplies distributors.

The following are some of the updates implemented in this quarter:
- The data of multiple sales reps can be combined and displayed on opportunities, activities, and leads.
- The Sell-rule feature for a responsive store is equipped with new functionalities like the ability to set products in the Suggestion list as searchable or non-searchable, mandatory or non-mandatory.
- Introduced Customer Response (Questionnaire) feature on the responsive store.
- Users can now create advanced dependencies for configuration components in VARStreet Back Office.
- The functionality to retrieve a username for BackOffice login with three new rich text boxes is now available at the customer level in BackOffice. This will enable users to include instructions for customers specific to their carts.
- The 'My Account' area on VARStreet stores to be responsive.
- Custom distributors are to be included in the Distributor dropdown box in the sales report.
- Users have the flexibility to include remarks on the responsive store registration page.
- Customers having ConnectWise integration can search and view contacts in ConnectWise (CW) from VS Quote.
- 'Approval Order Alert' and 'Order Alert' email notifications carry detailed product information about the order as users can include more product details in these notifications.
- Provision to mark any customer as 'Tax Exempt' which means their transactions will be exempted from sales tax.
- Introduced the ability to track the history of sales orders, quote, and cart that has been reopened, closed or converted to sales/purchased order.
The general bug fixes that were resolved were users getting notified about abandoned carts without a PDF attachment, users creating sales/purchase orders without charging a credit card, discount coupon code does not appear in the cart for credit card payment option, and wrong shipping status visible in sales order for bundles and incorrect tax code cannot be updated or deleted. All these issues have been addressed in the July 2020 - Sep 2020 tech releases.
