Enhancements

Introduced Ability to Add Check Number for Check Payment Method

A new field called ‘Check Number’ has been introduced in Terms Tab under ‘Payment Details’ Section. This field will be visible only when the Payment method is Company Check, Cashier Check and Personal Check.

Use Case -> Adding check number will make it easier for users to keep track of their checks.

Introduced Ability to prevent customers from ordering discontinued / Unavailable Products

Before Release

Users were able to copy an old cart with discontinued items and confirm it

After Release

Now the reseller (user) will have the ability to prevent customers from confirming carts which contains discontinued or products which are excluded from the store catalog. A new flag called ‘Should Unavailable Products be Deleted from Cart?’ has been introduced in Store Setup under Carts Tab. When this flag is checked, all the unavailable / discontinued products will be removed from the Cart.

Use Case -> Previously the end customer was able to order products that were either discontinued/unavailable or removed from Store Catalog. Checking this flag will not allow end customers to order such products.

Implemented Level 2 Punch-out with Ariba.

VARStreet now supports Level 2 PunchOut with Ariba. This will allow users to use search functionality of Ariba procurement system to find the products in Ariba catalog and then PunchOut catalog products to reseller’s store to add the product in a shopping cart.

P.S-> This is an add-on feature and has to be setup for an account in VARStreet similar to a punch-out setup.

Introduced Ability to hide Manufacturer URL on Responsive Store

Before Release

Previously, the ‘Manufacturer URL’ on Product Details and Product Comparison Page was visible to end customer by default.

After Release

A new flag called ‘Show Manufacturer URL’ has been introduced in Ecommerce Store Setup for Responsive Store. If this flag is unchecked, the ‘Manufacturer URL’ will not be visible to the end customer

To access this flag go to BO>>eCommerce>>Store>>Setup>>Display>>Show Manufacturer URL

Use Case -> The end customer could use the ‘Manufacturer URL’ to buy the product directly from Manufacturer. To avoid such a situation, the user can uncheck the ‘Show Manufacturer URL’ flag.

Modifications to Existing Features

Introduced Extended Price on Product Details Page of Responsive Store

Before Release

Previously, the extended price (unit price multiplied by product quantity) was not being displayed on Product Details Page of Responsive store.

After Release

Now extended price will be displayed on Product Details Page of Responsive store. The extended price of the product will be calculated by multiplying the Qty of the product in to the unit price of the product.

Use Case -> This will help user get the total amount of the product in product details page instead of having to go into the cart to view its total amount.

Introduced Ability to Set Bundle Price to $0, if any of its Components is $0

Before Release

Previously, when the price of a bundle component was set to zero, the zero priced component was excluded while calculating the total bundle price.

After Release

A new flag called ‘Set Bundle Price to Zero - $0 Component’ has been introduced in custom catalog, Bundle definition Page. If this flag is checked and if any of the bundle component is $0, then the bundle price will be set to Zero.

P.S.: This flag is applicable only when the bundle Price Method is set to ‘Derived from Items’. It is not applicable in case of “Fixed Price” method for the bundle.

System to Display ‘First Login’ details of a Contact in Store Usage Report

Before Release

Previously, system was displaying only the Last Login Details of any Contact in Store Usage report.

After Release

A new column called ‘First Signed on’ has been introduced in Store Usage Report. This column will display ‘First Login date & time’ of a Contact.

Also, ‘Last Login’ link has be renamed to ‘Login Details’ which will display ‘First Login’ details as well as ‘Last Login of Customer’s Contact.

Introduced Ability to Set Fixed Price for any Configuration Component

Before Release

Previously, the price of any configuration component was calculated as per Price List assigned to that customer.

After Release

Now the users can define a different price for configuration components which will be applicable for the products in the configuration only. A new flag called ‘Set Fixed Price’ has been introduced at component level in ‘Edit Component’ page under ‘Configuration Product’. When this flag is checked, system will use the price defined for the product as fixed and will not get calculated as per Price List.

PayPal Transaction id is now being displayed in VARStreet

A new field called ‘PayPal Transaction ID’ has been introduced in Terms Tab on Quote/Cart/Sales Order and Credit Card Details / charge Page.

‘PayPal Transaction ID’ is visible only for ‘PayPal’ customers. It will help users to verify their orders.

Changes to Store Approval Workflow on Responsive Store

Before Release

Previously ‘Send for Approval’ button was visible only under Items Tab of Shopping Cart on Responsive Store.

After Release

A new flag called ‘Approval on Confirmation’ has been introduced while creating/modifying a workflow. If this flag is checked then ‘Send for Approval’ button will be displayed on Confirmation Page of Cart. If the flag is unchecked then ‘Send for Approval’ button will be displayed under Items Tab of Shopping Cart on Responsive Store.

System will allow only 10 stages per workflow

Use Case-> When the ‘Send for Approval’ button is on Confirmation Page of Cart, the requestor can now enter all the Cart Details before sending the cart for approval.

System will now Prevent Users from Deleting Workflows which is assigned to transaction pending Approval

Before Release

Previously user could delete workflows which were assigned to transaction pending approval, as a result, the transactions pending approvals could never be approved.

After Release

Now system will prevent user from deleting workflows under which the transactions are pending approval. User can only delete those approval workflows under which no transactions are pending approval.

General Bug Fixes

Comments Added in Cart was not being saved

Before Release

Previously, when a customer would request a Quote (RFQ) from a shopping cart in which they also added their comments, the user was not able to view those comments in BackOffice.

After Release

The issue has now been fixed. Now whenever customer will add comments in Cart while requesting a quote (RFQ), the comments can be viewed in BackOffice.

New Cart Created by Copying Existing Shopping Cart was not Showing Updated User Profile

Before Release

Previously when an existing shopping cart was copied to new Cart, the updated user profile was not getting populated in new cart.

After Release

The issue has been fixed. Now whenever a new cart is created by copying existing shopping cart, updated user profile will be visible in new Cart.
