Enhancements

Now Customer can View Shopping Cart Status History on rStore

On rStore, a status history icon has been introduced in ‘Status’ column of Awaiting Approval/Cart Listing Page

When the history icon in ‘Awaiting Approval’ listing page is clicked, the customer will know the cart details such as:

  • Who created/updated and approved the Cart
  • At what date and time the cart was created/updated and approved

When the status history icon in ‘My Carts’ listing page is clicked, the customer will know cart details such as:

  • Who created/updated, rejected/confirmed and closed the Cart
  • At what date and time, the Cart was created/updated, rejected/confirmed and closed.

VARStreet will remember the selection to Preview-Type (Customer or Internal) Selected by a User

Now whenever a logged-in user selects any preview-type (Customer or Internal) on all closed transactions (Quote and SO), it will be retained (remembered) until the user changes the selection to preview the transaction.

System to Display Message in Transactions for Partial Freight

When freight is not applicable for all products in a transaction (Quote, SO), a message ‘Freight is not Calculated for all items’ will be displayed beside the Freight value field with “i” icon on Products Tab. This message will be displayed when the partial freight flag is not checked under business rule.

On Store ‘Login as Guest’ button has been renamed as ‘Continue as Guest’

The label of ‘Login as Guest’ button has been changed to ‘Continue as Guest’. This label is more intuitive and meaningful.

Now Sales Summary Report will display Net Sales Figure for Quote, Cart and Order.

A new column called ‘Net Sales’ has been added in Sales Summary Report. Net sales amount will not include discount, freight, sales tax or handling charges. Net sales is calculated by subtracting Discount from Sub-Total. To be more precise, Net Sales = Sub-Total – Discount. As a result, net sales will give a more accurate picture of the sales generates by Cart, Quote and Order

Now Preferred Distributor will be Loaded while Creating PO against ‘Special Pricing’ Product

Before Release

Previously when SO is converted to PO for products with special pricing, the preferred distributor defined in special pricing was not being selected at the time of creating the PO.

After Release

Now the preferred distributor will be automatically selected whenever SO is converted to PO for products with special number.

Introduced fields to accept CISCO credentials against User Profile in BackOffice.

After Release

System will now use credentials of respective users, if populated in user profile to connect to CCW or else it will use Owner’s credentials.

This will allow users to connect to CCW portal in their own profiles to be able to import their own estimates.

Introduced Spend Reports on rStore

Spend Reports ‘By Transaction’ for Cart/Quote/Sales Order has been introduced on rStore.

Use Case>>> The end customer can view Spends Reports to get the details of the transaction (Cart, Quote, Sales Order) that have been conducted in the specified duration.

Introduced Ability to Display Live Stock on rStore

Before Release

Previously, there was no provision to display live stock (real time stock) on rStore

After Release

Now Live Stock along with the quantity will be displayed on rStore on the basis of Stock source. A new flag called ‘Show live stock on store’ has been introduced on Search Tab under Store Setup. This flag will be displayed only when the flag ‘Show products availability on store’ has been checked.

When ‘Show live stock on store’ flag has been checked, real time stock of product along with their quantity will be displayed on Product Details page on rStore.

Modifications to Existing Features

Changes in Product Content

Upload and Export functionality have now been introduced for Product Content.

User can now ACTIVATE and DEACTIVATE media content that includes Images, Videos and Documents. Only ACTIVATE content will be visible on BackOffice and Stores.

Now user can also add product into Product Content through Search Results Page.

Now Non-Admin Users on Store can Update Company Address

Before Release

Previously only Admin User on Store could update company address.

After Release

Now non-admin user on store can also update company address. A new flag called ‘Allow Non-Admin user to update company address’ has been introduced at Customer Level in BackOffice. When this flag is checked, non-admin user can edit the billing/shipping address in Address book on Store.

Introduced Ability to Add Related/Suggested /Similar Products in a Quote

Before Release

Previously, related/suggested/similar products in Product Details Page of a product through the Quote could not be added in Quote.

After Release

Now user can add related/suggested/similar products from Product Details Page of a product in to the Quote. Now users also has the ability to select multiple related/suggested/similar products at the same time and add all of them to the quote.

Now User has the Ability to make a Product at Component Level Mandatory to Purchase in Configuration

Before Release

Previously a product at subgroup level could only be made mandatory to purchase in Configuration

After Release

Now a product at component level could be made mandatory to purchase in Configuration. A new flag called “Mandatory” has been introduced at component level in Configuration. Once the flag is checked, the end customer on Store won’t be able to uncheck that component level product while creating a custom configuration.

Introduced “From” field in Product Comparison and Product Technical Specification Email at BackOffice is Editable

Before Release

Previously, “From” field in product comparison and product technical specification email at BackOffice was non-editable. By default, system was populating sales rep’s email id in that field.

After Release

Now the user while sending product comparison and product technical specification email from BackOffice can edit the “From” field.

Introduced Changes to Freight calculation in BackOffice.

In BackOffice, following changes has been done on products tab of transactions.

  • Moved Shipment Method, Carrier Account Number, Taxable flag & Combine Freight and Handling flag from “Terms” tab to “Products” tab.
  • Introduced “Fixed” flag on products tab which user has to set for fix freight charges.
  • On Shipping Calculator screen, system will now retain the shipment methods set at line item level.
  • Also, system will retain markup value set in freight calculator screen.
  • On products tab, system will show shipment method at line item level if it is different than that set on transaction.
  • On Internal preview of transaction, system will show shipment method set at line item level.

Introduced Ability to select Billing and Shipping address while creating or modifying Contact on rStore.

Before Release

Previously, the Billing and Shipping address were being auto-populated while creating or modifying Contact on rStore

After Release

Now Billing and Shipping address field are dropdown boxes. As a result, the admin user can now pickup Billing and Shipping address while creating or modifying Contact on rStore.

SMTP username and SMTP Password fields are now mandatory in Mail Server

Previously, SMTP username and SMTP password fields were not mandatory in Mail Server. However, now username and password in SMTP server will be authenticated before sending the mail. Hence the change.

General Bug Fixes

Increased Character Length of “Serial Number” field under ‘Upload Tracking Details’ from 50 to 100 characters

Previously, when adding tracking details, long serial numbers were not visible in PO if the serial number characters were more than 50. So now character length of ‘Serial Number’ field has been increased. Now customer can enter serial number up to 100 characters from tracking details UI or tracking details upload wizard.

Category and sub-category of bundle components were not being displayed in Spends Report for Cart Submitted via PunchOut,

Before Release

On Store under ‘By Transaction Details’ Tab, category and sub-category of bundle components in Spends Report for Cart submitted via PunchOut, were not being displayed.

After Release

The issue has now been fixed. Now on store under ‘By Transaction Details’ Tab, category and sub-category of bundle components in Spends Report for Cart submitted via PunchOut will be displayed.

HTML tags are Visible in Product Description and whenever user adding long description, it was not displaying properly

Before Release

Previously, HTML tags were appearing in product description and whenever user was adding long description, it was not being displayed properly.

After Release

Now, the product description will be displayed properly. Also, when long description is added, it will be clearly visible.

In Order Dashboard Export some documents were missing

Before Release

Previously, upon clicking Export button in Order Management Dashboard, some transaction from the listing page were not in the downloaded export file.

After Release

The issue has now been fixed. Now upon clicking Export button in Order Management Dashboard, all the documents from the listing page is being included in the export file.
