Introduced ability to define Delivery Fees for Colorado (For Avalara as well as Non-Avalara Users)
- VARStreet has introduced the ability to define Colorado delivery fees in transactions.
- A new menu option called ‘Delivery Fee’ has been introduced under Admin>>Rules.
- A new menu option called ‘Delivery Fee’ has been introduced under Admin>>Rules.
- The setup page has following fields
- Delivery Fee Label
- Delivery Fee Value (in $)
- After entering the delivery fee, user has to click on ‘Update’ button and the record will be saved.
- This delivery fees is applicable only when the Shipping State is ‘Colarado’
- To access this new Tax Rule go to-----> BO>>Admin>>Account Settings>>New>>Rule Type-->Avalara Colarado Tax Code’
- When the Rule Type is for Avalara then the users should select ‘OF400000’ as Tax Code (Avalara users only)
- Delivery fees will be visible in Quotes and Sales Order (SO) under ‘Products’ Tab, ‘Terms’ Tab and ‘Print Setup’ Tab. In Cart, it will be visible under ‘Payment Details’ page
Introduced Ability to Charge Credit Card (CC) Partially (for PayPal Users Only)
- Now user can charge credit card (CC) partially using PayPal gateway
- With this functionality, user can charge the credit card multiple times till the total charge amount matches the Authorized
- The user can authorize full amount of CC but keep charging it partially until the total document amount is charged
- System will show the Charge History on “Charge by CC” screen
Introduced Ability to Assign ‘Special Pricing Profile’ to Multiple Customers at Once
Before Release
- Previously, the user could create and assign ‘Special Price Profile’ to only one customer at a time.
After Release
- Now user can create global level ‘Special Price Profile’ which can be assigned to multiple customers at a time.
- A new menu item called ‘Special Price Profiles’ has been introduced under Price Profiles.
- To access this menu item, go to BO>>Admin>>Price Profiles>>Special Price Profiles
- Upon selecting the ‘Special Pricing Name’ and ‘Global Level Pricing’ option, user can add products and assign them to multiple customers.
- Users can still define special pricing at customer level like they have been currently doing.
- If any product for a customer exists under both global and customer level special pricelist, then higher priority will be given to customer level special pricing for calculating product prices.
- Priority to calculate product prices will always be first for Customer level special price then Global Special Pricing and then Price Profiles.
- Impact of this new feature will be on Product Search, Product Detail Pages both on Store and BackOffice. Also on the sourcing dropdown in Quote / Sales Order.
Modifications to Existing Features
Introduced ability to edit ‘Margin’ and ‘% off List Price’ at Line Item Level on Quote under ‘Products’ Tab
Before Release
Previously, to edit ‘Margin’ and ‘% off List Price’ on quote, users had to use the ‘Pricing Worksheet’ feature. The user had to first select the record in the quote and then use the ‘Pricing Worksheet’ to make the changes. They had to repeat this procedure for every line item.
After Release
- Now users can directly edit ‘Margin’ and ‘% off List Price’ at the line item level itself on quote. They no longer have to use the ‘Pricing Worksheet’ to do the same.
- While editing ‘Margin’ at line item level, ‘% off List Price’ will be non-editable.
- While editing ‘% off List Price’ at line item level, ‘Margin’ will be non-editable.
Introduced Ability to Edit Message for forgets password ‘Request Reset’ Link
- Now user can decide what message to show up when the end customer forgets password and clicks on ‘Request Reset’ link while logging onto the Store.
- A new text field called “Message for Forgot Password’ has been introduced under eCommerce Store Setup.
- To access this field go to--->BO>>eCommerce>>Store>>Setup>>Display>>Message for Forgot Password
- Any message added in this field will be displayed whenever the end customer forgets password and clicks on ‘Request Reset’ link while logging onto store.
- If the user does not add any message in this field then system will show the default message as ‘‘You will receive a reset password link in your registered email id’’ ( when contact enters invalid Email ID)
Bug Fixes
System not considering Multiple Product Quantity while calculating MSRP Subtotal for Quotes
Before Release
Even if the product quantity was more than 1, system was still considering it as 1 while calculating MSRP subtotal for quotes
After Release
The issue has been fixed. Now multiple product quantity will be taken into consideration while calculating MSRP subtotal for quotes
Product Images from Distributor/VARStreet getting wiped out when users added their own images through Product Content Module
Before Release
Previously when user was adding their own product images through ‘Product Content’ module, the existing images sourced from Distributor/VARStreet were getting wiped out.
After Release
The issue has been fixed. Now whenever user will add their own product images through ‘Product Content’ module, the existing images sourced from Distributor/VARStreet will remain intact.
