Enhancements

Introduced Option to display “number of items” in Cart as Sum of all the Product Quantities in the cart

Before Release

  • Previously, the system was showing “number of line items” in cart under “Order Summary” on the Checkout page of the cart.

After Release

  • A new flag called Show “number of items” in the cart as the sum of all the product Quantities in the cart” has been introduced on the eCommerce setup page.
  • The system will display a total number of product quantities under “Order Summary” on the Checkout page of the store if the above flag is checked under store setup.
  • To access this flag go to BO>>eCommerce>>Store>>Setup>>Display>>Display Settings>>Flag
  • Once this flag is checked, the system will show the sum of product quantities in the Cart under “Order Summary”, instead of the “no. of line items”.
  • For instance, say a customer adds 5 quantities of the same product in the cart and if the flag is checked, then the sum of all product quantities, which is 5 (in this case) will be visible under “Order Summary” on the checkout page.

Introduced a new layout for the “MyAccount” Page of the store

  • A new “MyAccount Layout” option has been introduced under Custom Layout in Store Customization. This will allow the user to select the newly introduced Account Layout 2. In this new layout, the “My Account” section (dashboard, report, etc.) will be left-aligned.
  • To access this feature go to BO>>eCommerce>>Store>>Customization>>Customize>>Global>>Custom Layout.

Unit of Measure will be displayed on the storefront only if it’s available for the product

  • The unit of measure (UOM) for any line item (cart/quote) will be displayed on the storefront only if it is available from distributors or added to the custom catalog. Previously, UOM was hardcoded and displayed for every line item on the store.

Introduced the ability to Hide Sharing Icons on the Checkout pages of Shopping Cart for both Guest and Registered Users

  • Now the user can hide sharing icons ( Save, Copy, Print Preview, Download PDF, and Mail) on the checkout pages of the shopping cart for both guest and registered users (latest version of the store).
  • A new flag called “Hide additional shopping cart functions” has been introduced under the eCommerce Setup page.
  • To access this flag, go to BO>>eCommerce>>Setup>>Display>>Display Settings>>Flag
  • Once this flag is checked, the system will hide all these sharing icons on the ‘Shopping Cart’ Tab and Cart Preview Tab.
  • These sharing icons will not be visible on the following cart layouts :
    • Three-page Checkout
    • Single page Checkout
  • The system will show only the Attachment icon on the Payment tab of the Cart when the attachment Flag is checked under the eCommerce setup page.

Modifications to Existing Features

Now End Customers can proceed to Checkout without entering Billing/Shipping Address Details under the Delivery Tab

Before Release

  • Previously, the end customers had to enter billing/shipping address details under the Delivery Tab to proceed with the checkout. The fields under the delivery tab were mandatory and if the customers did not have permission to edit the billing/shipping address then the user was unable to continue with cart checkout. This was happening because the two flags (“Should the billing address be non-editable on Store” and “Should the shipping address be non-editable on Store”), at the customer level were set as “Yes”.

After Release

  • Now if these two flags at customer level are set as “Yes”, the fields under the Delivery Tab on Store, will no longer be mandatory. This will allow the end-customers to keep the fields (associated with billing/shipping address details) empty and proceed with the checkout.

Introduced the ability to Add Customer’s Signature Section on the Quote (Only for DocuSign Users)

Before Release

  • Previously, there was no option in the quote to mark a place in the quote template for the customer to sign.

After Release

  • Now the user can add the customer’s signature section on the quote.
  • A new flag called “Show Customer’s Signature” has been introduced on the “Print Setup” Tab of Quote.
  • When this flag is checked, the system will show the authorization section on the Quote with the following fields:
    • Name
    • Title
    • Email
    • Signature
    • Date
  • The same will be displayed in Quote in DocuSign to sign the quote

Bug Fixes

Request for Quote (RFQ) feature was not working on the store

Before Release

  • After clicking on the RFQ button / confirming a cart, the customer was not prompted to enter its details. However, the system was showing a “customer response” field with blank content on the cart/quote preview page.
  • Similarly, the system was showing the “Terms and Conditions” field with blank content on the cart/quote preview page even though no data was added in the Back Office (customer level page and eCommerce store setup page)

After Release

  • The issues have now been fixed. If no data is added in the “customer response” / “Terms and Conditions” fields, then these fields will be hidden in cart/quote preview page.

Changes in Distributor Name under the Distributor Module, not reflected in the Special Pricing “Preferred Distributor” Dropdown

Before Release

  • Previously whenever a user was changing the distributor name under the Distributor module, the modified distributor name did not appear in the special pricing “Preferred Distributor” dropdown and at the customer level.

After Release

  • The issue has been fixed. Now whenever a user changes the distributor name under the Distributor module, the modified distributor name will be reflected in the special pricing “Preferred Distributor” dropdown and at the customer level.
